Cotton and flax embroidery on hand dyed linen. 2020

This embroidery is of river rocks in the Lower Piney Creek in Banner, Wyoming. I chose this cloud like hand dyed linen for the back ground because it reminded me of clouds reflected in the water. I used a smattering of iridescent threads to mimic the shine of the water in the upper portion of the embroidery. Thick flax thread was used to create an authentic grassy feel in the foreground.
